L’apparence physique est un sujet PRIMORDIAL et COMPLIQUÉ. On est en effet partagé entre la soumission aux diktats sociaux et publicitaires, l’impossibilité de s’y soumettre, l’affirmation de soi et ses goûts et fantasmes. MNEK en a fait une chanson et un clip : « MUSCLE MARYS... extrait de mon nouvel album BULLDOZER !! est disponible partout dès maintenant. Cette chanson et ce clip sont très intimes et touchent à la vulnérabilité ; ils abordent des sujets comme l'image corporelle, les enjeux politiques liés au corps, le désir de se sentir "assez" et ce cheminement sans fin pour apprendre à s'aimer, quelle que soit notre morphologie. C'est une question qui m'habite depuis toujours, mais je ne savais pas vraiment comment l'exprimer en chanson... jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Je n'aurais aussi jamais, au grand jamais, imaginé apparaître torse nu dans un clip. Je tiens à remercier tous ceux qui ont participé à ce projet ; cela compte énormément pour moi et j'en suis incroyablement fier. »
